South Worcester Flood Rescue is launching an exciting new campaign to harness the power of donated technology. 'Old Device? Save Lives' invites businesses and individuals across Worcestershire to donate their unused phones, tablets, laptops, and other tech equipment to support our water-based Search and Rescue and Flood Rescue operations.
Do you have an old phone, tablet, Surface or laptop that you no longer use? Has your company recently upgraded or renewed its IT equipment? Your unused tech could help us save lives during critical rescue operations.
Donated equipment is securely wiped and used for mapping, coordination and volunteer safety during training and live incidents. We accept Android and Apple devices, Microsoft Surface equipment, Windows laptops, power banks, protective cases, and charging accessories. Wi-Fi-only devices are absolutely fine — SIM cards are not required.
All devices are factory-reset on receipt and thoroughly checked for account locks. We do not access or recover any personal data. Your privacy and data security are paramount to us.
If you're able to donate, please message us through our website contact form or email ed.smart@swfloodrescue.org.uk. Whether you're an individual looking to declutter or a business seeking to support your community, this is an opportunity to put your technology to good use.
We're also grateful for corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. If you're a business looking to support us further, we offer sponsorship opportunities including having your logo on our boats, helmets or vehicles. Get in touch to see how your business can help save lives and support the local community.
